Valley women without insurance can protect themselves from breast cancer by receiving a FREE mammogram this month. To help fight against breast cancer, Sistas of Arizona and Cox Communications have partnered to provide 80 procedures at no cost during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Cox will host mammogram-truck visits at two Cox Solutions Store locations where women can obtain their free mammogram on two dates:
Saturday, October 15, 10 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Cox Solutions Store at Bell Towne Center, (Bell Rd. and 7th Street)
Saturday, October 22, 10 a.m. -3:00 p.m. at the Cox Solutions Store (at the Camelback Colonnade, Camelback and 20th Street)
To qualify for a free mammogram, women must be 40 or older, live in Maricopa County, be uninsured or unable to pay high insurance co-pay of over $100, have not had a mammogram within a year and not be eligible for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). Women must call Assured Imaging Women’s Wellness at 1-888-233-6121 to schedule their appointment in advance.
